Kits and online retailers

How to compare garden room companies
- Price what's included. The base, the connection to your house and VAT can add thousands. Some companies include the base and the connection; others include neither.
- Compare the insulation, not the brand. Ask for the wall, roof and floor build-up and U-values. Thickness alone doesn't tell you much, so compare like with like. Our insulation guide explains what to look for.
- Read the guarantee terms. "10 years" can mean structure, rot only, or come with conditions such as yearly treatment or a particular base.
- Look at payment stages. How much do you pay before anything arrives in your garden?
- Visit a show site. Seeing a room tells you more about finish and space than any brochure.
