The insulated ranges
- Canvas: walls with 15mm multi-foil panels. 10 x 8ft to 14 x 8ft.24
- Outpost: EcoQuilt insulation in the walls, roof and floor. 8 x 8ft to 14 x 8ft.24
- Dojo E: interlocking SIP panels with EPS foam walls and an EPDM rubber roof. 14 x 10ft, 18 x 10ft and 22 x 10ft.5
Thickness alone doesn't tell you how warm a room will be, so ask for U-values. For comparison, Booths and Rubicon quote 90mm of insulation in the walls of their installed rooms. Read our insulation guide.
What you'll pay for on top
- A base: it needs a solid, level base, not grass or soil.2 An Ecobase plastic base was £920.53 on the Dojo E. Its raised platform isn't a substitute for a base.5
- Electrics: not included. The site recommends a professional and says electrical damage isn't covered by the guarantee.2
- Building it: the kits need "a second pair of hands", or a builder.1
The Dojo E has free delivery in 4 to 6 weeks, and pressure treatment adds about 2 to 4 weeks.5
A note on prices
Garden Buildings Direct often runs discount codes, and we saw different prices for the same Dojo E on its listing and product pages. Check the final price in your basket before you pay.25
